This S**T is Bananas! B-A-N-A-N-A-S!!

Delicious, versatile and the perfect on-the-go snack, there are so many reasons to love bananas.

Due to their natural packaging, the banana is one of the cleanest, pesticide free fruits around. Also great for your gut, bananas are full of prebiotics which support the growth of good bacteria.

Bananas are also rich in potassium, an electrolyte that maintains our body’s fluid levels, and reduces puffiness. For this reason, bananas are one of my favourite beauty bites, and one of the core ingredient to my favourite avocado and banana face mask. Try it!

Potassium is also essential in maintaing a healthy blood pressure. Bananas are also high in fibre, which is essential in any diet for regular and healthy bowel movements. The banana is one of few fruits that has resistant starch – which works to keep your bowel lining healthy!

Bananas are favoured by athletes as the perfect pick me up snack due to their high energy content. They are also known as a great cancer fighter due to their lectins content –  which some researchers have linked to the reduced risk of cancer.

It is important to remember that bananas are quite high in sugar, so try to enjoy one small one in one sitting, and in moderation.
