1. Palazzo Pants

It’s clear that palazzo pant are all the latest rage. Popular in the 1970s, these comfy pants have made a huge comeback that won’t be leaving anytime soon! Though most of the palazzo pants in modern times are not as wide-legged, are looser at the waist, and are more casual in most cases, these pants are still obviously inspired from the 70s. You can find these beauties in various colors and tribal prints in just about any hip clothing store. Best part is, modern palazzo pants are so comfy, yet they can be mixed and matched with looks ranging from laid-back to work-ready.

2. Fringe

Fringe never gets old, am I right? Whether you want to stress a rock-star look, show off a little country flare, or even express your bohemian style, fringe is so versatile and simply so fun to wear. Throughout the decades, especially during the 1960s and 1970s, fringe was a definite popular fashion trend. Over the past few years especially, the trend was revived, anywhere from fringe vests to purses to even fringe on shoes and boots. If you feel your outfit is too simple, fringe definitely spices things up a notch!

3. Jumpsuits & Rompers

You can laugh at rompers and jumpsuits all you want, but over the decades, women across the globe wore these babies for a good reason: They’re so comfortable! Not only that, but they’re basically a two-in-one garment; you’ve got the pants/shorts and the top, all in one piece. Simple as that! Kind of like a dress except with leg holes. Seriously, though, if you haven’t tried on a jumpsuit or a romper, you’re missing out. It’s the latest “lazy-but-not-lazy” fashion trend, if you get what I mean. If you’re into them, they’re definitely cute and sophisticated in a comfy sense, and no one will laugh at you when they see how well you can pull off one of these garments.

4. Overalls

Overalls are again one of those things that are either loved or hated by others, but if you’ve seen the latest overalls trend, you’ll soon be stopping to the store to pick up a pair or two. Throughout the years, overalls were pretty boring and could only be found in very specific colors, but nowadays there are so many colors, styles, and lengths to offer. You can find patchwork overalls, overalls with shorts, boyfriend-style overalls, overalls with a skinnier leg, and even overalls with a skirt instead of pants. They’re just fun, and you don’t even have to like the earlier styles to wear one of the new-and-improved styles! Denim isn’t all that bad.

5. Plaid Flannels

Plaid flannels have been around for quite a long time, but the 1990s grunge phase definitely appreciated them. Plaid flannels still live on, and on, and on. But that’s the beauty of it – They never get old! Though in the 90s and often worn loose and baggy, most plaid flannels today are worn with a more tighter fit and buttoned up, though of course are versatile enough to try with various styles and looks. Aim for a grunge style still if you please, a skater look, or even a more up-kept look. The best part is the hundreds of color combinations plaid flannels come in! Flannels are so warm and cute, and are obviously the perfect unisex trend that will hopefully forever be in style.
