This holiday season is the perfect opportunity to experiment and pick your party beauty persona. Why should you look like everyone else at the party? Whether you are going for sultry and smoky or dewy and ethereal; take a look at the 2015 fall and winter catwalks to choose a new look for a new you during this festive time of year; while learning to recreate a whole new look. The party season offers the opportunity to use sparkle without looking overly frivolous and even using a new lipstick shade that is more appealing by night than by day. The following are a couple of tips to dazzle and set you apart from the rest of the celebratory crowd. Most importantly, these looks are easy to achieve and for the most part you may be simply switching out colors in your existing makeup collection.

The Sultry Smoky. This makeup style is dramatic, simple and speaks wonders at the hors devours table. Metallic colors always feel more festive than matte when it comes to smoky eyes. Apply a lighter color along the eyelid with the metallic black along the crease and the eyelash line. Complete this look with layer upon layer of black mascara.

The Luminous Glow. The “luminous glow” look is quite easy to achieve. Add radiant skin, glossy lips and a strip of crystals on your lower lash line you will be sure to dazzle at any holiday occasion. This look is all about youthful-looking luminosity rather than sparkle glam (the crystals are optional). Use a soft taupe color to sculpt the features and focus on pale gold highlighting colors. The outcome is simple, yet striking and radiant at the same time. Choose a sheer shade lip gloss to compliment the radiant skin.luminous glow

The High-Shine Eye. Eye gloss is now all of the rage, whether it is the holiday season or any other for that matter. This look is also easy to execute as using a gloss instead of a shadow is an easy way to stand out in the crowd. There are many gloss bases on the market and when combined with a smudgy liner beneath the eyes and perfectly groomed brows; anyone can make a strong statement. Keep an eye out for a high shine finish with a subtle pearly sheen to be the talk of any party. Last, offset high-shine lids with a dark liner smudged right into the lower lash line.

The Old Hollywood Glamour. For this look select colors such as antique gold, rose, plum or bronze tones that signify “Old Hollywood Glamour” that can fit in at any holiday occasion this season. Define your eyes with warm metallic colors and select berry tones for your lips. For this look, go big on both the eyes and lips. For this look you can also go for a strong lip and a smoky eye, to do so trade in the black shadow for a softer sparkling bronze which pairs nicely with a deep plum lip.
