The fashion industry is always in a state of fluex – incoming and outgoing trends; even fashion trends that reappear from years past. While there is always a stable of fashion icons, Calvin Klein, Donna Karan and Armani to name a few, there are a few that are on the list of “one’s to watch.” The following is a quick sneak peek of some of the major players that you should plan to see on the New York and Paris runways.

Move over Olsen sisters meet Parris and Chloe Gordon, the sister duo who has come on scene to absolutely make a statement with their line consistent of natural and feminine elements, with clothing and accessories starting in 2013. However, with the recent fashion week these sisters clearly made a statement with major sleeves, over-the-shoulder styles and are also described as minimalist ready-to-wear styles. What is the verdict?  A complete hit with media, fashionistas and designers alike. The line has also been described as “cool girl approved”.

Cinq Á Sept is also a newbie to the fashion ring who is rightfully making a statement. This clothing line was inspired by the idea of “what to wear” between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. It is all about the balance between day and night, sophisticated while casual, youthfulness and confidence. The response has been overwhelming, but the confidence in the brand that features cocktail dresses, sexy separates and luxurious outerwear that screams romantic for your after hour wardrobe. There is no surprise here that these sisters have been making a statement in the fashion industry.

Finally yet importantly, Silvae is a new designer who is not only making a statement, but truly has the “It” factor. Deborah Roberts founded this line with Silvae meaning “in the woods” which exemplified her background growing up in the Pacific Northwest where she attended design school, a very few years ago. What is her line all about? Think classic styles with a sharp eye for details. You can expect one-of-a-kind pieces with classic details, unexpected shoulder slits, gorgeous pleats and artfully placed straps that the everyday fashionista will appreciate. What is the added bonus? This lovely woman does not only design everything New York based, but she is a proud supporter of the New York Wilderness Society, which is dedicated to protect to protecting green spaces and wildlife.
